Consuming one-tenth of the usual recreational dose or 0.1-0.3 grams of dried Magic Mushrooms, then it is called Microdosing. The amount of consumption may vary from person to person as it is all about keeping it subtle. As long as your consciousness or hallucinating is not altered due to its intake, you are microdosing.

You will have a hard time determining how much psilocybin is in each particular mushroom. The quality of the mushroom, its type, where they were grown, how they were grown may affect its psilocybin content. Therefore, you must start your session with a small amount.
First of all, dry a batch of mushroom, grind them into a powder and fill it up into empty capsules. That way you will be able to maintain even distribution and preserve its taste. For your starter dose, you can use 0.1 gram and analyze its effects on your body. Then, you can slowly adjust your dose with time but as soon as you start getting the hint of a psilocybin trip, stop right there and take a moment to note down the exact amount it took to give you a notable trip. This will help you estimate the right amount of dose you require to enjoy a magic mushroom without experiencing any intense trip.
Once you figure out the right amount, it’s time to determine the right time to use it. Most people feel morning is the best time as they can experience its lasting effect throughout the day. But you should take a day off from your work and social life when you microdose for the first time so that you can take proper notice of any unusual effects. Once you become comfortable with its mild effects, you can start microdosing regularly for four days and stop its intake for three days to avoid building up a tolerance. Always follow this pattern, use it for four days, and then take three days off. You must maintain a proper gap between its intake to stop your body from producing tolerance to psilocybin.
